INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 1. Remove the plug from the left or right side accesses.2. To install, handshake the J42083 Automatic Timing Pin Lock intothe access timing.3. Pre-load the spring into the auto-timing lock by pushing the slidehandle forward and rotate it clockwise to wrap either of the two locking slots.4. Manually turn the engine in the direction of rotation (usually counterclockwise refer to the Caterpillar Service Manual) until a warning clicks. The automatic timing pin plunger has now coupled the steering wheel timingholes in upper center compression or exhaust stroke.6. To remove, turn the sliding handle counterclockwise to release springtension on the plunger (if the plunger does not retract from the steering wheel with lightpressure, move the steering wheel to front and back). Unscrew the steering wheel housing.
